Mike Foley is a Senior Product Manager in the vSphere Group at VMware.
For the first seven years at VMware Mike’s principal goal was to help vSphere administrators build more-secure platforms that met or exceeded the operational challenges of IT while still standing up to the scrutiny of security teams. For the past two years he has been focused on enabling the vSphere administrator to navigate the world of vSphere with Tanzu. As of December 2022, Mike is now the Product Manager for vSphere DRS, HA and vSphere with Tanzu HA.
Mike is the author of numerous whitepapers on vSphere with Tanzu 101 for the vSphere Administrator, hypervisor security, virtual machine encryption and the vSphere Security Configuration Guide. He is also a popular speaker at industry conferences such as VMworld, RSA Conference and others.
Mike was awarded a patent (8,601,544) in December 2013 for “Dual-band authentication using the virtual infrastructure”. As of November 2020 Mike has two additional patents pending.
